CHS Football Team to Tangle with Cathedral on Thanksgiving Morning

The Chelsea High football team will seek to end its season on a winning note when coach Michael Jackson and his Red Devils take on the Cathedral High School Panthers on Thanksgiving morning.

The opening kick-off is set for 10 a.m. at Northeastern University’s Carter Football Field at 709 Columbus Ave.

Chelsea has enjoyed a highly-successful season under the direction of Jackson, who is in his first year at the helm of the CHS grid program.

The Red Devils have compiled a 5-4 record with victories over Salem, Boston English, Somerville, Medford, and Tech Boston. Their losses have come to Revere, Northeast Regional, Boston Latin Academy, and East Boston High.

Although Cathedral has recorded a 3-6 mark, the Panthers figure to give Chelsea a good battle. The teams did not have any common opponents, but Cathedral and Chelsea shared a number of twice-removed foes and an analysis of their schedules indicates that their Turkey Day tilt could be a hard-fought affair.
