Tagging at the Train

On Jan. 14, at 10 p.m., Police responded to the MBTA Stop located on Everett Avenue for a report of a party tagging near the train tracks. Chelsea and Transit officers placed a male party under arrest for the tagging. Officers recovered various items as evidence on his person.

Thomas Ryan, 40, of Everett, was charged with tagging property.

Trafficking Fentanyl

On Jan. 17, at 10 a.m., members of the Chelsea Police Drug Unit set up surveillance in the area of the Chelsea Walk/Luther Place area as a result of receiving recent complaints for illicit drug activity in the area. Detectives witnessed a transaction and arrested both individuals. One male was arrested for trafficking in Fentanyl. Officers also recovered several thousand dollars from the individual.

Thomas Cromwell, 33, of 58 Garfield Ave., was charged with trafficking in fentanyl more than 10 grams, trafficking in cocaine more than 18 grams, distribution of a Class B drug (subsequent), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and distributing a Class A drug (subsequent).

Threatened with a Gun

On Jan. 20, at 330 p.m., officers were dispatched to 79 Harvard St. for a disturbance. The caller stated that she and her son had a confrontation with a male in a vehicle in her driveway. The victim caller stated the person in the vehicle refused to move and then threatened them with a silver handgun. With the assistance of Boston Police the male was located and arrested, the gun used was in fact a replica revolver and a pellet gun.

Bless Amedoadzi, 26, of Boston, was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of threatening to commit a crime, carrying a firearm without a license, trespassing, disturbing the peace.

Accident

On Jan. 23, at 7 p.m., officers received a call for a motor vehicle accident on Essex Street were the operator was fleeing the scene. Responding officers noted that Essex Street is a heavily traveled roadway due to construction detours that were in effect during that evening. Officers observed the white van being operated by the suspect. The officers formed an opinion that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest.

Misdael Lopez-Bonilla, 45, of 134 Congress Ave., was charged with operating under the influence (2nd offense), and three counts of leaving the scene of property damage.

Unwelcome Guest

On Jan. 24, offices were dispatched to the address of 34 Hooper St. for a report of a past assault. Upon arrival officers met with the reporting party who stated he was assaulted by a guest of his tenants. The victim stated the suspect barged into his apartment and assaulted him over an ongoing eviction issue. He was placed under arrest.

Evan Murphy, 27, of Dorchester, was charged with malicious destruction of property under $1,200 assault and battery and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor.
