Bruins Christmas wish is win more games
Following Monday night’s game at TD Garden with the Washington Capitals, the Bruins will begin their Christmas break, which will last until Thursday. Division rival, Buffalo Sabres will host Boston on Friday (7:00pm), to begin a home-and-home series, which will culminate with a Sunday (7:00pm) rematch on Garden Ice. The New Jersey Devils will provide the opposition on Tuesday, in a 1:00pm matinee. The Bruins will begin the New Year (2020) on home ice, beginning with a two-game homestand which will include visits from the Columbus Blue Jackets (Thursday, January 2 @ 7:00pm), and Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers here Saturday, January 4 @ 1:00pm.
Bruins forward David Pastrnak received an early Christmas present when the National Hockey League announced, that Pastrnak has been named the Atlantic Division captain for the 2020 NHL All-Star Game. At press time (Monday), Pastrnak, 23, leads the NHL in goals (28) and power play goals (13) this season. The 6-foot, 194-pound right wing has also added 22 assists for 50 points (6th, NHL) with a plus-11 rating in 36 games. He ranks among the league’s leaders in several offensive categories, producing six game-winning goals (T-1st, NHL), 20 power play points (3rd, NHL), 140 shots (4th, NHL) and averaging 1.39 points per game (6th, NHL). Over his six-year NHL career, Pastrnak has totaled 160 goals and 174 assists for 334 points in 356 games.
