SHOOTING ON CLARK AVENUE

Chelsea Police Investigators, along with State Police Detectives assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, are investigating a shooting Monday evening that occurred just before midnight in front of 67 Clark Ave.

The victim, a 42-year-old female, was shot twice and was transported to MGH Boston. Detectives believe it was not a random attack based on preliminary evidence gathered at the scene. The victim is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

A vehicle, possibly a Honda occupied by at least two individuals, was seen fleeing the scene.  If you have any information regarding this incident, you are asked to call Chelsea Police at 617-466-4800.

DANGEROUS WEAPON

On Aug. 20, at 5:55 a.m., while on patrol in the area of Park Street and Hawthorne Street, a CPD officer observed a party known to have an outstanding warrant out of Chelsea District Court. During booking, the subject was additionally charged with carrying a dangerous weapon 2nd offense.

Laura Baum, 32, of Everett, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon (2nd offense) and one warrant.

 

HEROIN BUST ON WASHINGTON AVE

On Aug. 24, at 11:59 a.m., Chelsea Police Detectives executed a search warrant at 350 Washington Ave, Apt 1. The Search warrant was the result of an investigation into a male subject for the distribution of heroin. During the course of the investigation, numerous controlled buys were made from the suspect Santos. During the execution of the warrant, drugs and cash were seized and two others present were placed into custody, a female on an outstanding warrant and a male for distribution of Class A drug.

Waleska Santos, 43, of 350 Washington Ave., was charged with possession to distribute a Class A drug and two warrants.

Caroline Cowart, 32, of 252 Parkway, was arrested on one warrant.

Genaro Flores, 48, of 350 Washington Ave., was charged with possession to distribute a Class A drug.

 

SKIPPED OUT ON BILL

On Aug. 25, at approximately 6:40 p.m., while assigned to a walking route, CPD officers responded to a call for a disturbance at the Las Vegas bar and restaurant (388 Broadway). Upon arrival officers were met by the caller who stated that the female who was now at the bus stop did not pay her bill of $31.  The officers brought the suspect back to the bar to have the bill paid. At that point the subject became disorderly threatening patrons and staff and was placed under arrest.

Jorge Gomez-Rodriguez, 38, of 95 Shurtleff St., was charged with disorderly conduct (subsequent offense), threating to commit a crime, immigration detainer and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
