The Vietnam Veterans Pool, operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), is readying to be one of the first State pools open this summer.
“It continues to be a top priority to get our pool open and keep it open for as long as possible,” said Rep. Eugene O’Flaherty, who has been instrumental in supporting the pool.
The pool will open on Saturday, June 29th and will remain open to Labor Day, with hours from 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
“I’d encourage everyone to enjoy the tremendous experience only a pool can bring,” said City Manager Jay Ash, who also asked that residents, and especially parents, help keep the pool and its surroundings clean and free of trash during the season. “I’m so grateful to have this community resource and so appreciative of DCR and our legislative delegation for all they do to fund its continuing operation.”
The DCR pool is located next to Chelsea High School.
