There is a move underway to raise the salaries for the members of the Chelsea City Council from something like $8,000 to $14,000.
Councillors here serve for a pittance in comparison with the cities and towns around us.
As long as the raise is fair and just, then the claim can reasonably be made that a raise should be approved.
Chelsea’s councilors work everyday at what they do. In addition, they are an honest lot of people who run a very clean and graft free city government.
If the raise is fair, it should be passed.
