Today’s Collision Repair Centers of Chelsea and Malden participated in the “Making Steps Walk” for the second year in a row. The company raised $10,000 through donations from employees, their families, friends, business associates, customers and corporate sponsors for a local non-profit organization, Journey Forward. Based in Canton, Massachusetts, Journey Forward is dedicated to bettering the lives of those who have suffered a Spinal Cord injury utilizing an intensive exercise program.
This year, Journey Forward founder, Dan Cummings, was joined by some of the Journey Forward Clients, and increased the walk distance by ¼ mile to 1.25 miles. “Watching the strength and determination of each person beginning their journey to walk again was such a fulfilling experience for us,” remarked Bobby Cobb, Co-Owner, Today’s Collision. One client in particular spent over three hours on the course. Tears filled the eyes of all who were waiting for her at the finish.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of our business partners, employees, friends and families,” commented Kevin Kyes, Co-Owner, Today’s Collision. “We had over 40 members included in our Walking Team who walked alongside the clients, providing support and encouragement.”
Today’s Collision remains committed to continuing their support of Journey Forward. The money raised provides scholarships to clients in need and helps expand the facility’s capabilities.
