Lottie ‘Charlotte’ Goldkrand

Worked in Chelsea Assessor’s Office, accomplished singer, active in many clubs and organizations

Lottie “Charlotte” Goldkrand of Chelsea, formerly of Revere, died on November 22. She was 98 years old.

Born in Roxbury and raised in Chelsea, she attended Chelsea Schools and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. She worked as the senior clerk in the assessor’s office for the City of Chelsea and was very active in many clubs, groups, organizations and temples. She was a member of Hadassah, Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, Jewish Family Society, Jewish Civic Service Employees, National Asthma Center, Jewish Memorial Hospital, Everett Seniors Social Club, life member of Temple Emmanuel and the temple Sisterhood, Carl Stein Post #187-Auxiliary Everett, Hebrew Rehabilitation Center- Roslindale, and a life member of Congregation Tifereth Abraham. She conducted numerous religious services during her residency at the Florence Cohen Levine Estates.

A very active singer throughout her life, singing was the activity she enjoyed more than any other. She performed at choral groups, choirs, nursing homes, senior citizens groups and at Shabbat services.

She was the beloved wife of the late Abner Goldkrand, the devoted aunt of Susan Arsenault and her husband, Joseph, and Ellen Fine and her husband, Scott, the loving great aunt of Rebecca Fine and the dear sister of the late Dorothy Steinberg.

Services will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. Cary Square, Chelsea today, Wednesday, November 24 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Baker Street Jewish Cemeteries, West Roxbury. Barbara Savickas Leard

Chelsea resident

Barbara L. Savickas Leard of Chelsea, formerly of Cambridge, died on November 19.

She was the loving mother of James Leard and his wife, Andrea, and Robin Leard and her partner, Kim; loving sister of Sally Frasier and her husband, Larry, Richard Savickas and his wife, Emily, and John Savickas and his wife, Jane, grandmother of three loving grandchildren, Jason, Michael and Conner and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held from the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett today, Wednesday, November 24 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in Everett at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Dana Farber, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02155.

 

Debra Jill Meyers Chadzynski

Of Acton, formerly of Chelsea

Debra Jill Meyers Chadzynski of Acton, formerly of Chelsea, Framingham, Concord and Edina, MN, died on November 17.

She was the beloved wife of Piotr Chadzynski; devoted mother of John Meyers and his wife, Elizabeth, of Methuen and Rebekka Meyers of Acton; loving sister of Jeff Kurland and his wife, Gail, of Newton; cherished grandmother of Riley and Kaeden Meyers.

Andrew Rossetti

Medford resident

Andrew J. Rossetti, of Medford, died on November 16 at the Chelsea Soldiers Home. He was 89 years old.

Mr. Rossetti was born and raised in East Boston, the son of the late Patrick and Antonietta Rossetti. A US Army veteran of World War II, he worked for more than 40 years in the Parks Department for the City of Boston.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Trotta); devoted father of Marie Rossetti, Andrew Rossetti, Patrick Rossetti, and Valerie Rossetti, all of Medford; loving grandfather of Julian and Alexander Rossetti.

Funeral arrangements were by the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Medford with a Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, Chelsea. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Freda Reynolds

Chelsea resident

Freda (Borr) Reynolds of Chelsea, formerly of Revere, died on November 16. She was 101 years old.

She was born in East Boston, raised in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. She was a life long member of Temple Tifereth Israel of Everett and a member of the sisterhood at the temple. She was also a member of Hadassah and an avid bridge player. Mrs. Reynolds was very devoted to her family; her family was “the most important part of her life.”

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Reynolds; the devoted mother of Jack Reynolds and his wife, Cindy, Linda Gill and Roxanne Cohen and her husband, Harris; the dear sister of Ethel Band and her husband, Maurice, and several late sisters and a brother. She was also the loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
